Holy Week is the most important time of the year for Christians. As we meditate on the last eight days in the life of Christ, our hearts can only respond with the same confession as the centurion at the cross: "This man truly was the Son of God" (Matthew 27:54).

During this Holy Week, take time to read all that our Lord accomplished in these last days of His mission on earth. Jesus knew He was facing the cross - the worst suffering and death a human being could experience - and yet He went about His ministry.

Read the parables and His wise reply to the question about taxes due Caesar. See how Jesus' emotions vary from righteous anger toward the temple leaders to tender compassion for the widow who gave all she had.

Jesus was a teacher, a leader, a king, and a servant! How can we not believe? Jesus is all we want, all we hope for, all we need . . . to be the leader of our lives. He is all-loving, all-powerful, all-wise, all-knowing, all-compassionate. He truly is the Son of God, our Savior and Lord.
